We are looking for short stories for our digital literary magazine: Deimos Presents. Deimos Presents will feature dark literary fiction and horror fiction. Each issue will have one featured short story, a shorter short story, and 2 pieces of flash fiction. Accompanied by occasional author interviews, letters from the editor, and more. We are hoping to publish quarterly (October, January, April, July). Our first issue is available now on our website and on our Instagram. Please review the stories to get an idea of the type of fiction we enjoy. We are looking for a pool of stories to choose from for issues 2-4, and to gauge interest to see how often we will be able to publish. See specific guidelines for submission below. Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot pay monetarily as we are a small hobby-run organization.
Flash Fiction: 999 words or less
Shorter Flash Fiction: 1,000 to 3,000 words
Featured Short Story: 3,001 to 6,000 words
Multi-Story Submission: We ask that if submitting multiple stories, you only submit one story per category listed above, and to submit all stories in one submission form and document.
Formatting Details: We ask that all documents be submitted in (.docx) format or as a Google Document. Font of Times New Roman, 12 point, 1.5 spaced, with author name, email, and social media in the top left, title center spaced with word count a line below. See the following example.

Do you need help with publishing your novel, novella, or short story collection? We would happily review your work and see if it fits our brand. If so, we will help you format your book, provide limited editing, design book covers, and advertise your book, all while you maintain the rights to your book. We are a small team with full-time jobs, so please submit a small portion of your book (see the preferred method below) and give us at least a few months to get back to you. Feel free to follow up if you hear no response within six months.

Email us at booksdeimos@gmail.com with the subject line Book Submission: "Book Title" by Author Name. In your email, give us a brief synopsis of your book, and what you are looking for from us, and what you would want help with. Attach a pdf of the first 2,000 words of your book.
